Wearables are poised to dramatically change life and learning. Perhaps you've just heard the term or maybe you already have a wearable on your person. Regardless, with this exciting and expanding area of technology, we think you'll find something new and exciting to explore this week.
Since wearables are in their infancy, we'll begin this week's journey with a "wide-angled" view of the topic. You'll then think like a Designer, an Investor and finally an Educator, as we narrow our focus to wearables for learning. Before you begin make sure you have access to the Google+ community where you'll post, comment and vote.
And if you think Wearables are not yet ready for prime time explore Amazon's wearable products for sale.

Introduction to Wearable Week 12
This video introduces you to the week's topic, the team and the activities in a "mission possible" way.
This video introduces you to the week's topic, the team and the activities in a "mission possible" way.
Here's a checklist of activities for the week:
- Explore Activity - Complete a short pre-assessment related to wearables. After you explore some of the various wearable categories, share your initial thoughts in the Google+ community.
- Think like a Designer - Then design a wearable for the eduction market based on an existing device. Create a new post to share your innovation on the Google+ community. We understand busy schedules but if you are able to publish this by Friday it will give our investors more wearables to consider!
- Think like an Investor - In the Google+ community, choose a "wearable for learning" posted by one of your colleagues from the activity above. Comment on whether you would invest in the wearable and why. 1+ the post and any other notable wearables.
- Think like an Educator - As we narrow our focus, we'll imagine wearables for learning are readily available. You'll have the opportunity to "dress your student for learning" and post your "student" on the Google+ site.
- Reflection - There is one final post on the Google+ community. Briefly reflect on the week and your understanding of the possible impact of wearables on teaching and learning.
